No. 2414-XI/932 D - In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 17 of the Cantonments Act, 1899 (XIII of 1899) and with the previous sanction of the Governor General in Council, the Lieutenant Governor of the United Provinces of Agra an Oudh is pleased to impose, with effect from the 1st August, 1910 a tax on all dogs kept within the limits of the Dehradun Cantonment to be levied at the following rates: |

Rupees two for each official year or part of a year for each dog of the age of six months or over; |
| |
|
| |
Provided that no tax shall be payable: - |
| |
|
| |
(i) |
On any dog kept within Cantonment limits for a period not exceeding one month in any year |
|
|
(ii) |
On any dog kept by a warrant or non-commissioned officer or soldier of His Majesty's regular forces. |

No. 1720XI-20-C - It is hereby notified that in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 60 of the Cantonments Act, 1924 (II of 1924) the Governor in Council of Agra and Oudh is pleased to delete the proviso (b) published in United Provinces Govt. Gazette Notification No. 2414/XI-932-D dated July 11, 1910. |
