No person shall keep for profit six or more goats within the Cantonment limits without first obtaining a license from the Cantonment Board. |

Within such limits as the Cantonment authority may determine no milkman, cart man or keepers of hackney carriages or other person shall stable, horses, ponies or cattle for the purpose of trade or business, except under a license obtained by such person from the Cantonment authority and renewable annually. |

3. |
The Cantonment authority may charge a fee of not exceeding Re.1/- for the issue or renewal of any such license and may impose such condition in respect thereof as it thinks fit. |

|
4. |
A breach of the byelaws Nos. 1 and 2 above shall be punishable with a fine, which may extend to Rs.20/-. |

Every person owning or keeping or other wise in charge of animals should then get registered and such registration should be renewed every year. The Cantonment Board should ensure that any animal not so registered, if found, within the Cantonment limits is detained at the Cantonment Cattle Pound. |

No person should be allowed to use any premises within the Cantonment a stable/cow house or as accommodation for sheep and goats until such person has obtained a license from the Cantonment Board under these byelaws. Every permit granted under the byelaws should be renewed every year on the recommendations of the local authorities. |

No premises to be used for the aforesaid purpose should be less than 8 feet in height, 8 feet width and 10 feet in length. Provided that permit may be granted for the use of an existing stall dimensions, if in the opinion of the Executive Officer it is provided with sufficient drainage and windows or other openings to ensure proper lighting and ventilation and is suitable for the purpose for which it is intended. |

The floors of all premises licensed under these byelaws should be paved with asphalt stone, brick on edge with cement pointing or with some other suitable material approved by the Executive Officer. |

No permit shall be granted under byelaw 2 in respect of any premises situated beneath and building used for human habitation unless the ceiling of such premises is separated from the floor of such building by an unbroken layer of at least 3" of concrete, stone, brick or mud. |

Every permit holder should deposit all the dung and dried refuse in such places as the Cantonment Executive Officer may fix for this purpose. The Cantonment Board should dispose off the same by proper tight pack or any other method, which the local health authorities may advise from time to time. No drug or liquid matter or water used for washing the premises should be permitted to flow into the receptacle. Proper soakage pits should be constructed for disposal of such washings. |

The permit holder should at once report the occurrence of any disease among his animals to the Executive Officer for such steps as the alter thinks fit to take in the interest of prevention of spread of such disease on the advice of the Health authorities. |

12. |
No premises or place in respect of which a permit has been granted for the stabling of animals under these byelaws shall be used as a place for human habitation. |
|
|
13. |
Every owner or occupier of premises used for stabling or herding of animals shall cause such premises to be cleaned out daily and the walls and ceiling thereof to be lime washed at least twice yearly |

14. |
The Cantonment Board shall recover registration fee of annas Rs.4/- per animal and issue a badge. |
