BYELAWS REGARDING THE SEGREGATION IN OR THE REMOVAL AND EXCLUSION FROM THE CANTONMENT OR THE DESTRUCTION OF ANIMALS SUFFERING FROM AN INFECTIOUS OR CONTAGIOUS DISEASES UNDER SECTION 282(31) AND 283 OF THE CANTONMENTS ACT, 1924

Disposal of animal suffering from infectious or contagious disease. When any animal shall be certified by a properly qualified veterinary officer to be suffering from any infectious or contagious disease, the Cantonment authority may by notice in writing, direct that the said animal shall be segregated in, or removed or excluded from the Cantonment or destroyed and the carcasses thereof disposed off as they shall direct.
 
Provided that in case of an animal the owner of which cannot be found shall be dealt with by the Cantonment authority as they deem fit, and the expenses connected therewith borne by the Cantonment fund.
   
  PENALTY
   
  Any person who commits a breach of the above byelaws shall on conviction be liable for each such offence to a fine, which may extend to Rs. 50/-
